GreenGhanaDay :HON FRANCIS ASENSO BOAKYE MARKS DAY WITH TREE PLANTING AT THE MINISTRY OF WORKS AND HOUSING
This morning, the Ministry of Works and Housing, joined scores of Ghanaians across the country to plant trees in commemorating the “Green Ghana Day”.
This exercise was crucial because trees help in reducing the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways, thereby improving our resilience against flooding.
Hon Francis Asenso-Boakye entreated all Ghanaians to fully participate in this exercise to protect our environment, promote sustainable development and combat the devastating effects of climate change.
He also ceased the occasion to advice Ghanaians about the indiscriminate disposal of waste materials into our drains to prevent flooding in our various homes 🏡.
