Mr Chairman, Distinguished invited guest, My able Executives, Hardworking Reps and Wocoms,

I welcome you all to the first Nugs General Meeting of the second semester.

Mr chairman, Please permit me quote my favourite quote which reads "if the intentions are right , the Lord your God will pasture your steps"

Mr chairman, we started our administration on a very promising pace despite the Strike actions that bedeveled  us but to God be the Glory, we have all activities and projects coming to pass.

🫐ACHIEVEMENTS.

The local nugs secretariate has successfully chopped extravagant milestone achievements that worth mentioning eventhough it's known to all.

1.Implentation of all promised policies and student interventions:

Nugs Student Support Scheme(Supporting Departments, Associations and Clubs with our widows mite as a local secretariat.

And it's good to note that the keysfonda led administration is the only administration in the history of AAMUSTED to have given Reps/Wocoms the recognition and identity by rewarding you them Souvenirs (Lapel Pin,Keyholder,Pen and Fun) 

*🫐FIRST SEMESTER.*

💦Mr chairman, We have donated *3 metalic No stopping signs* to Management to curb the traffic nuisance at the entrances

💦Mr chairman, it's good to note that for the first time, we have set up a desk at the nugs office helping students through seamless student loan applications,  we do scanning of documents for students and the introduction of the wifi at the office  has argumented all online applications processes.

Mr chairman,  Let me state on record that the  ( Local Nugs Secretariate) is  the only student office with a *WiFi, Smart Television,.GSM wireless fix office line.and a well furnished office befitting a secretariate*.

💦Mr chairman, another dream come through is the yet to be commissioned student loan trust fund office on campus *(TL16).*

This milestone achievement will go along way to prevent the hustles students go through by going to KPoly and Knust for enquiries and as part of the package students will be employed as casual workers each year.

Mr chairman, let state that everything at the office is financed by nugs (Metalic Bulgar Proofs, Carpet,Curtains Office Painting  and office desk.

Mr chairman , let quote the this adage in Akan that states "If you want it done Right  You go through Hustle"(Twiglish)

We also rolled out the T' Roll(Tissue Paper) project where all toilets at the lecture halls were furnished  with tissue papers during the examination period  to prevent students from walking back to halls and hostels to answer nature's call..

💦Mr chairman,  let me also state on record that the Keysfonda led administration is the only administration to have given credence to Course Reps(LA members) by rewarding them with data  Pacakages dupped *Nugs Boamu Ade3* and *Electronic Erasable pens* . It has never happened before.

*PROPOSED PROJECTS  & PROGRAMMES FOR THE SEMESTER.*

💦The local Nugs secretariate in the coming days donate a GSM wireless sunncomm office machine to Myndfm(Campus Radio).

💦Mr chairman,for the first time the local nugs secretariate has thought it wise to erect a physical project despite our numerous rolled-out student intentions and policies.  *Nugs Parliament Leisure Benches*(Nsafoacare Office (Space between LibraryGroundFloor and TL Block). Eventhough it was about 70% complete, it was taken out  from our budget at LA after  members here (Nugs Reps/Wocoms) agreed to have it fixed at the proposed location.I am hopeful that it will be fixed before I end my term in office.

💦Mr chairman, the Nugs Abodoo Project is one of my heart touching  projects where we intend to feed about  100's students each day.

Isha Allah,  it will surely come to pass.

💦Mr chairman.another maiden program is the *Nugs Homecoming and Enterpreneurs Summit coming up on 22nd July 2022 at the New auditorium to raise funds to support mother care unit and the Nugs Parliament Leisure Benches Project.

💦Mr chairman, another project is the Nugs Departmental Award Scheme. With this, we will want to reward students who excel in our various departments  as a measure of rewarding hardwork.

💦Mr chairman, we have also rolled out  *Subsidized Ezwich Card Registration for all Level 400's*.in collaboration with Kwamanman Rural Bank.No Opening of accounts, No depositing of minimum balance asem biaaa. 

💦 Mr chairman, ladies and gentlemen the Nugs Excellence and Honory Awards has over the years become the biggest and much antipated award scheme in the history of AAMUSTED.. We have nominations opened and its food to note that we have about one thousand and more students filling nominations for the various categories.

Am most most grateful, to Nyaamah Frimpong (Fuse Koda) and tbe entire team for the  excellent job done so far.

💦Mr chairman, another maiden award scheme by the Nugs Wocom is the *"She Essence awards* this she aspire to reward the feminine side.

💦Mr chairman another Project of my wocom is the "Save My Period Project". With this Mr chairman will want her to speak to it since its a feminine biased project.

CHALLENGES.

💦Mr chairman, one of our greatest challenge is the delay of released of our quota to the local secretariate.  All programmes and projects done by the secretariate were all prefinanced. 

Funds were released to the secretariate just two weeks to vacation,  so imagine what the story could have become if I and my wocom had decided to wait till we get funds before we initiate something??? Rhetoric. 

Must we always be in the news before something due you is given????

We are in the 3rd week and we are likely to experience what happened last semester again.

AMr chairman, another biggest challenge is the low patronage of programmes by students..
